Elliane Kimes of Grand Valley State won the women's pole vault title with a 13-11.25 (4.25m) clearance and prevailed in a sudden-death vault off against Washburn's Virgi Scardanzan at the NCAA Division 2 Outdoor Championships at Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich. She became the first women's pole vault champion for the Lakers since Kristen (Hixson) Leland in 2012 and 2014 to contribute to a runner-up team finish with 64 points.
